Over Weekend activities

There are many people that I would interview about basketball. But if I had to pick one, it would be Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. I would interview him because he has my name, and because is an NBA Hall of Famer and he played basketball  for 20 years. So he would know much about me, epecially since we both have glasses.

I would ask him how he became a basketball player, how did he practice for making a team in high school, college, and NBA. I would ask how many hours he used to practice for basketball every day. Then he would answer a bunch of those questions, and then we would give each others email to each other, and we would contact each other a lot.

A person I would not interview wouldn’t be Hope Solo, but Lebron James.  He left Cleveland because he wasn’t supported, but he is mean. Because he left Cleveland, we sucked today.

Many things  with my passion. First of all, very fattening foods that include a lot of saturated fats and I eat that a lot, but I do a lot of workout. So, when I eat that food I try to loose that weight over a course of a couple of days. Then I would eat that food again, and I would be too tired to do any workout, so that is the first thing that interferes with my sports.

Also, I play video games over the weekend. So, I always don’t want to go to the Recreational Center because I am too lazy. Lazy is also another thing I have. I rarely like to stay at home, but since I have video games, I am able to stay home whenever I want to. Also, when I play basketball, I always miss my shots, so I always discourage my self to continue.

Some other things is that, my mom, friends, and sister always like to go out together so I don’t really have time to go anywhere for psotrs. So that is this weeks blog. thanks for reading!

Really, there are many people or things that helped me achieve my passion.  First off, when I go to the recreation center, I see the the basketball players playing in the gym. They are so helpful because I felt like the sport is so special. It is different than other sports. My mom helped me by taking me to play basketball when I was in second grade up to this day.

I still play basket ball because I feel like watching professional basketball. Now with the NBA labor going on it is impossible to watch it. So I have to encourage myself to play basketball every day so that I will not forget how to shoot correctly. It is mostly myself that helped myself go through liking basketball.

So I help myself, My mom helps me, and the recreation center encourage me to play basketball every time I have time to play. So when I play I feel very good bout myself. Getting scores after scores. Last year my team in seventh to eighth grade basketball at the rec won all the regular season games and then we won the first postseason game, and won the championship against the second best team after us. So we won and did nothing because of it and the losing team went to Mcdonalds for losing.

Now the NBA is in a crisis where they might start cancelling regular season games. They already cancelled all the preseason games so they can take their time for a week to figure something out. Soon they will try to come up with a money offer that every person can agree with. Shaquille O’neal said that Joe Johnson is the problem of this lockout because he gets paid 19 million dollars a year. That isn’t even as much as the best player in basketball, and he isn’t the best player. Lebron James gets 16 million dollars a year, and Kobe Bryant gets less than that. Dwayne Wade gets 12 million dollars a year. Here is a video about the lockout news.

One of my friends named Peter really likes basketball. He loves to play it. A lot of times me and him go to the recreation center to basketball. I also have another friend that invites us to the rec to play with him even he doesn’t play basketball that much. My other friend named Shan, loves to play basketball, tennis, and football.

We both always talk about basketball  every morning, if there is something to talk about. Since there is a NBA lockout, we have nothing to talk about except that the commissioner and players have cancelled 43 preseason games.

Other things we talk about are the NFL. In which the Browns just beat the Dolphins. I hate any MIAMI TEAM since Lebron James left Cleveland, and “took his talents to South Beach.” I think he is selfish even if Cleveland had no one to support him.

Basketball is not only the most interesting sport but it is also my favorite sport. It’s my favorite sport because I love to play it. It’s fun, and it feels awesome to show your skills on the court. It also helps you interact with friends and people you don’t know. In the NBA college players that are drafted by the NBA know a lot of people in the NBA, but many professional players do not know college players. Off that topic, I just love basketball. I think it helps in speed, foot skills, and hand skills. I personally think I am pretty good at basketball, but when I come to play in a recreation game, I am to shy to show my talents. Everybody thinks I should but I always think I will lose the ball or something.

I watch basketball whenever it comes on my television. Which isn’t a lot, but I go online and check the scores to see how the Cleveland Cavaliers are doing. i think this year, they are going to be a team that will achieve some stuff, but won’t be the best team in the NBA. I always go to the Recreation Center so I can play basketball by myself, or with my friends. the Cleveland Cavaliers were the second to worst team last year with a record of  19 wins and 63 losses. The worst record was 17 wins and 65 losses.

All that happened because Lebron James left the Cavs, for the Miami Heat, since they have Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh. I thought that he was selfish, which he was, but he also did that because he was the leader of the Cavs, and all the other players didn’t  really contribute to the points in the game. He scored many points, they did the assists. Off that topic, Basketball is my favorite sport in the world.

The NBA Sprite Slam Dunk Competition Highlights

Yesterday, September 12, 2011, I had just watched Th men’s final of the U.S. Open. It was not the weekends but I acted like it was because I had finished most of my homework. This is what I have been doing these weeks over the weekends. On Saturday, I had went over to my friends house. Every other Saturday, we usually meet somewhere, because we are practically relatives. Other then that, On Saturdays, I usually go to the Westlake Recreation Center to exercise and play basketball. Basketball is my favorite sport. I have gotten better at basketball since I have been practicing a lot.

Over the summer, me and my dad play tennis. Tennis is one of the best games in the world. It works on your speed and agility, your footwork, you strength, and how smart you are. Recently, Novak Djokovic had defeated Rafael Nadal for the men’s U.S. Open final game.

After several games in Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, Round 4, the quarterfinals, and the semifinals, he finally reached the finals, and beat Nadal, for revenge. During the game, Djokovic had injured his back. He had a medical timeout, and he was great in the last set. But the U.S. Open has finished and in the next blog I will be talking about basketball.
